Rakkaus mean "love" in the Finnish Language. Here you will find handcrafted jewelry made with love and influenced by the traditions of my Finnish heritage. My great grandparents immigrated from Finland and settled in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Upper Michigan, know as the Copper County. This is where my connection to copper and its healing properies originated.

I spent many summers combing the scores of Lake Superior finding beautiful stones that inspire my pieces. The process of stone hunting the shores and pure fresh water is rejuvenating to the body and soul. My favorite Lake Superior stone is Agate. Several of my pieces are made from hand picked agate, beach glass, and "Yooperlites" collected by my family and I for generations.

My pieces are made by hand. I use simple tools to create the rustic look found in my pieces. I use only copper, sterling, and fine silver along with natural hand picked stones and high quality gemstones. When I am not using handpicked stones and materials, I purchase my stones from dependable dealers and gem shows.
